About Pick Up

Pick Up is a coordination tool for co-parents, designed to help separated or divorced parents manage schedules, communication, and shared expenses related to their children.

Important: Pick Up is a scheduling and coordination tool only. It is not a legal document or binding agreement between co-parents. Pick Up cannot override, replace, or modify any court orders, custody agreements, or legal arrangements.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Pick Up, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Eligibility and User Responsibilities

To use Pick Up, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have legal authority (as a parent or guardian) to share information about children you add to the service
  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

You agree to:

  • Communicate respectfully with your co-parent
  • Use the service in good faith for co-parenting coordination
  • Not use the service for harassment, abuse, or intimidation
  • Not upload false, misleading, or defamatory content
  • Not attempt to circumvent security measures or access others' accounts
  • Not use the service for any illegal purpose

Tone Assist Feature

Pick Up includes a Tone Assist feature that automatically reviews messages for potentially harmful or aggressive language and applies modifications to promote constructive communication. This processing happens locally in your browser before messages are sent.

By using the messaging feature, you consent to this automated review process. Tone Assist is designed to help maintain respectful communication but is not perfect. You remain responsible for the content of your messages.

Fair Access Guarantee

Both parents in a co-parenting arrangement have equal access to all shared family information. This includes:

  • Custody schedules and calendar events
  • Children's profiles and information
  • Message history
  • Expense records
  • Decision history

Data Export on Removal: You can export all your family data at any time from Settings. If you are removed from a shared family account, you will receive an automatic export of all shared data. No parent can be unilaterally cut off from their family history in Pick Up.

Account and Data Management

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion:

  • Your personal data will be removed immediately
  • Shared family data may be retained for the other co-parent
  • Data may persist in infrastructure backups managed by our hosting providers
  • Certain data may be retained longer if required by law

Data Export

You may export your data at any time from Settings. Exports include your profile, schedules, messages, expenses, decisions, and children's information in JSON format suitable for records or legal documentation.

Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Plans

Pick Up offers free and paid subscription options. Paid subscriptions provide access to additional features as described on our pricing page.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on your selection
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • Prices are displayed in your local currency where available
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through the app or your app store account

Refunds

  • Monthly subscriptions: We do not typically offer refunds for partial months
  • Annual subscriptions: Refunds may be considered within 14 days of purchase if the service has been minimally used
  • App Store purchases: Refunds are handled through Apple or Google according to their policies

Intellectual Property

Pick Up and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by H3llo H3llo Ltd and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you upload to Pick Up (photos, documents, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

Disclaimers and Limitations

Service Provided "As Is"

Pick Up is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Not Legal Advice

Pick Up is not a substitute for legal advice. We do not provide legal, financial, or professional advice. For questions about custody arrangements, child support, or other legal matters, please consult a qualified professional.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, H3llo H3llo Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
  • Disputes between co-parents
  • Violations of court orders or custody agreements
  • Actions taken based on information in the app
  • Service interruptions or data loss

Our total liability for any claims under these terms shall not exceed the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

  • You breach these Terms of Service
  • We believe your actions may cause legal liability for us or other users
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue the service (with reasonable notice)

Upon termination, you will retain access to export your data for a reasonable period.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or through the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
